This interesting article refers to a NASA article on Sanskrit in AI Magazine in Spring of 1985 written by NASA researcher, Rick Briggs. It shows how similar is Sanskrit (one of the oldest natural language spoken for about 4-7000 years) to the today’s advance computer programming language. In this article, different programming methodologies adopted in Advanced programming language like class, object are related and viewed in context of sanskrit language. Nasa have been researching on this to implement in developing AI (Artificial Intelligence) to understand the process of communication, learning and implementing the rules and laws of nature in computing. Different views are emerging on web related to it like “Sanskrit as an Objected Oriented Language”, “Sanskrit as a computer language” etc. Below is the article of Rick Briggs, Nasa on Sanskrit:

- In this link below, you can find an example on how Sanskrit uses programming concepts similar to classes, objects and pointers to shorten the language. To do this, author has translated a sample Sanskrit sentence to English and dwelled into the nitty-gritties of it. Along the way, you will get introduced to a very innovative sentence structure, totally different from the structure of the language you currently speak. http://uttishthabharata.wordpress.com/2011/05/30/sanskrit-programming/
